How to take a photo of Phantom Exposed in Project Zero: Maiden of Black Water

There’s a tutorial showing you how to take photos of Phantom Exposé in Project Zero: Maiden Of Black Water, but you won’t have to do it again for a long time. By the time you are in the owner’s room in the old building on the third drop, you might have forgotten how to do it. Next thing you know, you wonder why none of your photos are performing well, and you’re locked in the room. The process of taking these special photos is surprisingly complicated and counter-intuitive.

First off, you’ll usually get some sort of prompt telling you that your camera is reacting to something in the game environment. Switch to your viewfinder and look around until you see something highlighted and shiny. . Unlike Spirit Photographs, you can’t get a Phantom Exposé just by pointing and shooting. You need to lock the glowing object, then you need to tilt the sight left and right. This can be quite inconvenient because on most controller calibrations the lock button and left tilt button are both left shoulder buttons. But you don’t have to take those shots under pressure, so just adjust your take until you can.

Tilt the viewfinder until it constantly flashes red, then take your photo. This should bring up the spectral element in the real world. To take psychic photographs and synchro shots, follow the same process of locking and then tilting the viewfinder.
