Don’t worry, Splatoon 3 will have all the “base weapons” from previous games

Update: We have official confirmation of @SplatoonNA on three of the returning weapons for Splatoon 3. The official Splatoon Twitter account featured the Splattershot, Splattershot Jr., and .96 Gal, and promises to share even more weapons further down the line.

Let’s take a look and remember these three, shall we?

The one we roughly knew was coming back. It’s the gun you see on all the promotional artwork, covers, Smash Ultimate, amiibos… It’s simple yet iconic.

Splattershot Jr.

Another one we were probably all expecting to see, given that it’s the tutorial weapon for the first two games. This little blaster has a fast rate of fire, high ink efficiency, and its shot spread is also quite high.

A long range, high damage weapon that is less about speed and more about impact. We’ve seen it in some of the promotional artwork for Splatoon 3 with the Splattershot.

Original post: We’ve been getting a constant rush of information about Splatoon 3 since the release date. Most of this has been focused on the new weapons in the game, such as the Triple Inkstrike and the Ink Vac. These new reveals, however, seem to have left fans asking after some of their old favorites from Splatoon 3’s predecessors.

Well, you won’t have to worry about whether your best weapon won’t return anymore, as Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that all base weapons from Splatoon and Splatoon 2 will be back for the sequel.

Some fan-favorite paint guns are featured in all-new art Nintendo shared with us today. A few notable returns are the N-ZAP, Jet Squelcher, Aerospray, and Splattershot Pro.

We’re sure there are more guns, rollers, sloshers, and more. who come back, and we haven’t even named all of those above. In the meantime, the folks at Splatoon Wiki have a list of all weapons from all three games, including those that have been confirmed for the third entry. You can check this list here.

Have you spotted any other weapons? Maybe check out our video at the top from last week, where we dissect the latest trailer. Let us know what you want to see in Splatoon 3 in the usual place too!
