Ascent Update 1.02 released for Patch 1 on PS, Patch 9 on PC this March 30

Neon Giant Games has released The Ascent (PS5 version 1.002) update 1.02 for PlayStation and PC platforms! It’s called Patch 1 for PlayStation by the studio, while it’s labeled Patch 9 for PC. Check out The Ascent’s March 30 patch notes for PC and PlayStation platforms below.

Please find the patch update history below. Our team continues to work hard to improve the game and we continue to be very grateful for all the support and feedback from our players.

FIX #1

  • Fixed an issue on PlayStation Pro where the resolution was not set correctly, now fixed at 1440p.
  • Fixed an issue where items purchased from various vendors were not displaying for client players.
  • Fixed an issue where the title took a long time to recognize that the player had left the lobby, which could cause a client player issue to try to join.
  • Fixed a potential crash after triggering the “Photomode” button and disconnecting the controller at the same time.
  • We fixed a number of stability issues related to controller disconnects that could occur at various times.
  • Fixed a potential issue where players could get trapped in a small area next to the elevator in corpZone.
  • Fixed an issue in Local Co-op where a soft lock could potentially occur if multiple interactions were triggered at the same time.
  • Fixed an issue where a Client Player NPC dialogue progressed when the host player clicked next in a dialogue with an entirely different character.
  • Fixed some general stability issues in NG+.
  • Fixed an issue in NG+ Online Co-op where currently equipped weapons would not show up in the player HUD for Clients after the cutscene.
  • Fixed the issue where Hammerhand Larkians’ hammer hitting the ground animation was missing.
  • Fixed some NG+ tutorial display issues.
  • Minor fix to the camera in the Silo 86 area where the player’s view could be cut off at the bottom of the screen.
  • Fixed a number of minor collision issues that could occur when using certain augments.
  • Fixed a number of minor general collision issues.
